Witness Helps Identify Driver Who Fled Bishop Grandin Accident

WINNIPEG, MB – A witness to an accident February 10th on Bishop Grandin that injured a man in his 80’s has helped police locate the driver who fled the scene.

Winnipeg Police asked for the public’s help in locating witnesses to a collision that day at Bishop Grandin Boulevard near the Pembina Highway underpass. A male driver of a pickup truck in his 80’s suffered serious injuries while he was attempting to exchange particulars with the other driver. He remains in hospital in stable condition.

Thanks to a witness police have arrested and charged a 49-year-old male with the following offences:

  • Drive Carelessly Cause Bodily Harm
  • Driver Fail to Exchange Particulars
  • Driver Fail to Exchange Particulars to Injured Person
