13, 14, & 17 Year Old Bandits Busted After Failed Robbery And Stabbing

WINNIPEG – A 13, 14 and 17 year old stabbed two staff members, sending them both to hospital, while attempting to rob a beer vendor on McPhillips Street Sunday, 6:00 PM.

When police arrived a suspect was taken into custody and two employees were found suffering from stab wounds. Both victims were taken to hospital (one in critical condition and one in stable condition) and both have since been treated and released.

Police said a group of teenaged bandits attempted to steal alcohol from the vendor. A struggled began when the employees attempted to stop one of the kids.

Early Monday morning, 1:00 AM, police located the two other suspects while on an unrelated call on Agnes Arnold Place.

Police said a 13-year-old male from Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault (x2)
  • Robbery
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence (x2)

A 17-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence (x2)

These two were detained in custody.

Police also arrested a 14-year-old female from Winnipeg and she has been charged with:

  • CC 334(b) Theft under $5,000
