Your Input On Parking Wanted

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – If you’ve ever parked your vehicle in Winnipeg on a regular basis, chances are you’ve had a bone to pick with someone or something at some point. Now’s your chance to speak out about what you think it will take to improve how people park in the city. The municipal government is looking for feedback on the topic – in the form of survey responses and video chat consultation.

In early February, the virtual floor will be open for citizens to make suggestions about the challenges they’re facing with parking. It’s part of continued efforts to create the city’s new five-year parking strategy.

The survey is available on the City of Winnipeg website, and you have until February 19 to fill it out.

To register for video chats that will be held on February 4 between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. you can go here, and if February 9 between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. works better for you, you can go here.

City Hall says they’re not going to vote on any decisions around their parking strategy until they’re done consulting with the public first.
