Winter Storm Warning For Winnipeg

Winter Storm Warning

WINNIPEG - Southern Manitoba is bracing for an April snowstorm.

Winnipeg is expected to get between 10 and 15 centimetres starting later today. The Southeastern part of the province is looking for 20 to 25 centimetres of snow. Parts of North Dakota in the US could see upwards of 50 centimetres.

It’s also going to be a wind event with gusts as high as 70 kilometres per hour, possibly creating blizzard conditions including poor visibility and drifting snow in open areas.

Environment Canada says the Colorado Low will leave the area on Thursday morning.
