WINNIPEG - A local woman who is suing Tim Hortons says she had a severe allergic reaction and her heart stopped for several minutes after consuming tea which contained cream instead of the almond milk she ordered.
Gabrielle Lien Ho's lawsuit names the coffee chain, its parent company and the operator of the franchised Winnipeg location she visited.
The suit claims that on the morning of June 9th, Ho ordered a tea using the Tim Hortons mobile app and she replaced the dairy option with almond milk.
It alleges she began suffering from an allergic reaction after taking just one sip of the drink.
She says she called her mother, who helped her use an EpiPen and was then driven to hospital by a co-worker.
