WINNIPEG - The City of Winnipeg says a sewage spill that began on March 16th should come to an end tomorrow.
Over 50 million litres of diluted wastewater has flowed into the Assiniboine River because a temporary sewage pump could not keep up with the flow.
Mayor Brian Bowman says the spill is under review.
Officials say the mix of wastewater and snowmelt went into the river to prevent it from backing up in basements and a construction site.
