Winnipeg Extends Fire Ban

Winnipeg Extends Fire Ban

WINNIPEG - The City of Winnipeg is extending a fire ban that's been in place for the past couple of weeks.

The ban will last now until at least August 11th at 6 p.m.

Officials had no choice but to continue with the ban as drought conditions linger right across southern Manitoba.

Fines of up to $500 are possible for any open fire, including backyard firepits and fireworks in city parks.
