WINNIPEG - Starting next Wednesday, Winnipeg Transit buses will have a new system that signals when there's an emergency.
Drivers will be able to activate electronic signs on the outside of their bus that say Emergency Call 911 and Do Not Board Bus.
Transit officials say this provides another layer of protection for drivers, their passengers and other members of the public by making sure that help arrives quickly.
Our @winnipegtransit buses will soon all be equipped with a signal to let the public know to call 911 and stay off the bus in emergency situations. Learn more: https://t.co/1StYj1gDxC pic.twitter.com/hY10QeTOYH
