Winnipeg Ballet To Settle Lawsuit

Ballet To Settle Lawsuit

WINNIPEG - The Royal Winnipeg Ballet has decided to settle a class-action lawsuit which accuses a former teacher of taking and releasing intimate photos of students.

Lawyers for the plaintiffs say the dance company has agreed to pay $10 million if the suit against the RWB and Bruce Monk is dismissed.

The suit did not claim criminal conduct and its allegation were not proven in court.

The students behind the suit attended the ballet school between 1984 and 2015.
