U Of M Researcher Dies

WINNIPEG - A world renowned arctic researcher at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg has passed away.

Dr. David Barber died on Friday after complications from cardiac arrest.

He was best known for his ground breaking work on snow over sea ice and the use of satellites to study it.

A celebration of Barber's life will be held on Saturday at the Engineering Atrium at the U of M.
