WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Transit hopes to bounce back to a pre-pandemic level of service by fall but it may not be possible.
Despite a hiring blitz, there is still a shortage of about 80 drivers.
The City of Winnipeg bus service is operating at around six per cent below where it was before COVID-19.
Transit says if service frequency is increased before enough drivers are hired, it could lead to more buses being cancelled.
