WINNIPEG - Buhler Industries which is based out of Winnipeg has accepted the resignation of one of its Russian directors.
Konstantin Babkin has shown support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The company says Babkin's views are in stark contrast to those of the North American executive team and do not reflect the position of Buhler which condemns what's happening in Ukraine.
Babkin has been replaced by Adam Reid, the vice president of sales and marketing.
Buhler says several other changes have been made to the board to reflect the values of its Canadian leadership team.
Buhler adds it has not exported to Russia since 2019 and no longer does business in that country.
