WINNIPEG - It’s been a very bad pothole season.
According to Manitoba Public Insurance, there have been more than 1,900 pothole claims filed so far this year. All but a couple hundred of them in Winnipeg.
That’s nearly five times the annual average between 2019 and 2021.
April was the worst month this spring for pothole claims with a record 802 of them which is almost 19 times as many as the April average of the last three years.
