Paramedics Help At HSC

WINNIPEG - Off-duty paramedics have started helping out at Health Sciences Centre.

Paramedics routinely cover shifts at Manitoba medical facilities but this past weekend was the first time they were asked to work in HSC's emergency department.

NDP leader Wab Kinew blames cuts and closures by the Progressive Conservative government.

The paramedic union's Ryan Woiden says his members are spread too thin and he worries about burnout.
