No More Sobriety Rule At Siloam Mission In Winnipeg

Sobriety Rule Ends At Siloam

WINNIPEG - A large homeless shelter in Winnipeg says it will no longer require it’s users to be sober.

Siloam Mission says it will instead require the people it helps to follow behaviour rules.

CEO Tessa Blaikie Whitecloud says the goal is to improve support, reduce violence and improve outcomes for those experiencing homelessness.

Users of Siloam Mission must be safe, respectful and focused on their needs.
