MLA Turned Away by Eatery

WINNIPEG - A Conservative MLA has been turned away from a Winnipeg restaurant for not showing proper proof of vaccination.

Janice Morley-Lecomte who represents Seine River failed to provide her vaccination card or QR code last week at Oakwood Cafe.

She says she had a printout of her vaccination status but without the QR code and left the eatery after being told that was not good enough.

Restaurant owner Wendy May says Morley-Lecomte mentioned to her staff that she was a politician and also told them they were wrong for requesting the required information.
