WINNIPEG - The Chief Peguis Trail extension is getting provincial funding for a feasibility study.
The Manitoba government has promised to cover half of the $1.4 million price tag, with the City of Winnipeg paying the rest..
The project would extend Chief Peguis by about 10 kilometres from Main Street to Brookside Boulevard near Jefferson Avenue.
This is one of several projects in the works in Winnipeg, including the widening of Kenaston Boulevard where the province has also committed $700,000 for a study.
