WINNIPEG - A hearing is scheduled for later this year to determine who can participate in an inquest into the death of a Manitoba man in police custody.
James Robert Stewart, who was 40 and from St. Laurent, died of a drug overdose after being arrested by Winnipeg Police.
The chief medical examiner orders an inquest under the Fatality Inquiries Act to determine if anything can be done to prevent similar deaths in the future.
The hearing is set for December 5th in Winnipeg.
