WINNIPEG - Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg has developed a plan to ease Manitoba's surgical backlog.
The $100 million project will see the number of HSC's operating rooms grow from 16 to 24., increasing the capacity for surgeries by 25 per cent per year from pre-pandemic levels.
The plan also involves the purchase of new technology to shorten hospital stays.
$75 million has already been raised, $50 million of it coming from the province.
