WINNIPEG - A teacher is at home recovering after being attacked with a hammer at a Winnipeg school.
According to Pembina Trails School Division, a student brought the hammer to Shaftsbury High School yesterday.
The teacher was hit with the hammer in class. The student was escorted to the office and then sent home after their parents were notified.
Police and a social worker were called in as support after the incident.
