WINNIPEG - The walls of Fort Gibraltar in Winnipeg are coming down.
The announcement by the president of Festival du Voyageur, which operates the site, comes after the collapse of a platform that injured 17 Grade five students and a teacher in May.
Eric Plamondon say work to remove the walls will begin soon and is expected to wrap up before the annual Festival du Voyageur in February.
Fort Gibraltar has been closed since the end of May after the collapse.
