WINNIPEG - Provincial health cutbacks have had ripple effects on Winnipeg property developments, but the city is working with one landowner to help them regroup.
Seine River Gardens Ltd. is asking councillors on the city Property Committee for a one year extension to prepare a development plan for 21 Clayton Drive that will match the rezoning it had requested to Commercial Mixed Use.
Initially the land was to be the location for a Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Access center for St Vital. The funding was lost in provincial health rebudgeting, and the window to get a revised plan approved had lapsed.
City staff has no objection to council allowing the time extension to get project documents to the department to submit for permit application. The matter is set for the agenda on September 4th.
