WINNIPEG - More than three dozen businesses in downtown Winnipeg have closed for good since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
That from Kate Fenske, the CEO of Downtown Winnipeg Biz.
She also told city council that 60 per cent of businesses in her area are reporting half their normal sales.
Fenske says about 70,000 people normally work downtown no longer do and that's been devastating for the businesses that serve them.
