WINNIPEG - The province has moved a COVID-19 protest out of Memorial Park in downtown Winnipeg.
Conservation officers with trucks loaded up hockey nets, tables, tents and whatever else was left of a demonstration that started in early February on streets in front of the legislature.
Most demonstrators left after a few weeks, while those remaining moved to the park.
At least some protesters say they will try to find a new spot.
In a statement, justice minister Kelvin Goertzen said his government respects lawful protests but structures and damaging public spaces is not acceptable.
