WINNIPEG - I'm sure you've noticed them, CoVid-19 parking lot parties. People who want to be safe and social distance but also like to see and visit with friends.
They're usually in parking lots near a McDonald's or Tim Hortons. Sometimes lawn chairs are involved, other times people just open up their hatchbacks and tailgates and sit and chat.
It's a sign of our coronavirus times. Something new that came with the pandemic. However, even when dining rooms re-opened, the parking lot parties continued. It seems people like being outside as they talk and enjoy a cup of coffee. Or maybe they feel safer in open air as CoVid-19 cases climb again.
Whatever the reason, it's nice to see humans connecting with each other at a time when doing that has become much more difficult.
