WINNIPEG - When you tee off next year at a City of Winnipeg golf course, it will be much quieter.
City-owned courses are transitioning to fully electric golf carts in time for next spring.
The move from gas to electric won't be cheap, about $50,000.
However, the city expects to save around $20,000 a year in fuel costs.
There will also be a significant reduction in carbon emissions of up to 50 tonnes annually.
