WINNIPEG - The Manitoba government is offering up $5.5 million to help the Winnipeg Blue Bombers bid to host the Grey Cup again.
The Bombers are bidding on either the 2024 or 2025 CFL championship in the hopes it will improve their chances of getting one or the other.
Premier Heather Stefanson says the City of Winnipeg is expected to chip in as much as $1.5 million.
According to her, the economic benefits would far outweigh the cost, with an estimated $90 million in extra economic activity.
