WINNIPEG - There’s been an increase in advance voting in Winnipeg’s civic election.
Nearly 42,000 Winnipeggers ended up casting their ballots early.
That’s up more than five per cent from 2018.
City clerk Marc Lemoine says interest in the vote is higher this time because there’s no incumbent mayor and several of the council races are proving to be interesting.
Election day in next Wednesday.
