Abuse Investigation At Winnipeg Care Home

Possible Care Home Abuse

WINNIPEG - Allegations of abuse at a Winnipeg care home are under investigation.

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Winnipeg Police both got involved after two whistleblowers reported abuse in February and again earlier this month.

Two health care aides at Extendicare’s Oakview Place on Ness Avenue were put on paid leave a couple of weeks ago.

The WRHA’s Gina Trinidad says there could be 15 resident victims.
