9 Years For Bus Stabbing

WINNIPEG - A man who stabbed a stranger on a Winnipeg Transit bus has been sentenced to nine years in prison.

Justin James pleaded guilty to manslaughter almost two years ago in the killing of Raymond Hill.

Court heard how James was drunk and high on painkillers when he stabbed Hill without any warning.

The defence argued James suffered a traumatic brain injury years ago when he was hit by a car and has been dealing with the effects of that ever since.
