WINNIPEG - Three men have been charged after Winnipeg Police targeted a scrapyard while investigating sales of catalytic converters.

Thefts of converters in Manitoba have skyrocketed as thieves go after the precious metals in them.

Heavily armed officers raided a lot in the RM of Springfield near the city earlier this month.

Two Anola men face stolen property and drug charges, while a Winnipeg man is accused of possessing stolen property obtained by crime.
