WINNIPEG - Blake Wheeler returned to the Winnipeg line-up but even that wasn’t enough for the Jets who extended their winless streak to three as they were thumped 3-2 by the Boston Bruins yesterday afternoon at TD Garden.
Wheeler had two shots on goal in 21:39 of ice time. Jansen Harkins and Andrew Copp were the Jets goal scorers. Oskar Steen, Charlie Coyle, and David Pastrnak scored for the Bruins. Tuuka Rask made 22 saves for the Bruins. Connor Hellebuyck made 29 saves in the losing effort for the Jets who went 0-4 on the power play while the Bruins were 1-2.
Winnipeg is now 17-14-6 and wrap up their road trip this afternoon in Pittsburgh against the Penguins. Puck drop is at noon (TSN 3, 680 CJOB/Power 97).
