WINNIPEG - Instead of putting on a performance on home ice that would get people excited to buy tickets for the remaining three games of this current homestand, the Winnipeg Jets failed to show up last night. They lost 3-1 to the lowly Chicago Blackhawks at Canada Life Centre.
Chicago’s Marc-Andre Fleury once again had the Jets number, making 31 saves while across the ice, Connor Hellebuyck allowed 2 easy goals from Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat on the 23 shots he faced; Brandon Hagel added a empty netter. Mark Scheifele scored the Jets only goal. The Jets are now 20-18-8 on the season and are in 6th place in the Central Division.
The Minnesota Wild are the Jets opponents tomorrow night. Puck drop is 6pm (SNW, 680 CJOB/Power 97).
