Jets Get Dumped In Denver

WINNIPEG - Last Saturday, it appeared that the Winnipeg Jets had the wrong start time in their calendar as they sleepwalked through the first two periods against Edmonton. Last night, it was the Colorado Avalanche who took the first period off but managed to erase a 3-0 deficit to beat the Jets 6-3 at Ball Arena in Denver.

Led by Gabriel Landeskog with an another hat trick (he also scored 3 goals against the Jets on January 6th), the Avs outshot the Jets 31-16 after the first period and cruised to an easy victory. Colorado also had a couple of goals from Nathan MacKinnon and one from Andre Burakovsky. Kyle Connor, Evgeny Svechnikov, and Adam Lowry were the Jets goal scorers. Connor Hellebuyck made 36 saves in another losing effort.

The Jets four game road trip finishes up tomorrow afternoon against the Arizona Coyotes. Puck drop is 3pm (TSN3, 680 CJOB/Power 97).
