Jets Fall 3-1 In Calgary

WINNIPEG - Elias Lindholm's goal with 46 seconds remaining allowed the Calgary Flames to tie a franchise record with their 10th consecutive victory, winning 3-1 over the Winnipeg Jets at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary.

After a scoreless first period, Sean Monahan gave the Flames the 1-0 lead early in the second. Then less than six minutes later, Winnipeg’s Dominic Toninato tied thing up and that’s where is stood until Lindholm’s goal. Tyler Toffoli scored into the empty net with 11 seconds left to finish off the Jets. Calgary’s Jacob Markstrom stopped 22 Jets shots for the win, while Connor Hellebuyck made 28 saves for the Jets who are now 22-20-8 on the season and continue to fall further and further behind in the playoff race.

Winnipeg’s road trip continues tomorrow night in Dallas where they face the Stars. Puck drop is at 6:30pm (SN360, 680 CJOB/Power 97).
