WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets snapped a 2 game winless streak with a 4-1 win over the San Jose Sharks last night at Canada Life Centre.
Andrew Cogliano got the Sharks on the board first at 6:28 into the 1st period but then it was all Winnipeg. Kyle Connor tied it (with his 10th of the year) a little more than 5 minutes later, Nate Schmidt and Jansen Harkins added 2nd period goals and Pierre-Luc Dubois popped on into an empty Sharks net with under a minute to go. Schmidt’s goal was his first as a Jet as he ripped a blast from the point past San Jose’s James Reimer. Dubois and Andrew Copp both had a 2 point night. Connor Hellebuyck made 26 saves in the Winnipeg net while Reimer turned away 30 Jets shots.
The Jets seven game homestand continues Saturday night when they face the Los Angeles Kings at 6pm (Citytv, SNW, SN360, 680 CJOB/Power 97). The teams last met in L.A on October 28th with the Jets winning 3-2.
