WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets celebrated Kyle Connor’s 25th birthday in style with a big 3-0 victory over the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena last night.

Both teams were coming off humiliating losses at home; Seattle was whipped 6-1 by Pittsburgh on Monday while the Jets were embarrassed with a 4-2 loss on Tuesday night against Carolina.

Dominic Toninato’s goal early in the first period gave the Jets the lead and the birthday boy (Connor) added his 16th and 17th of the year in the third period to seal the win. Connor Hellebuyck earned his first shutout of the year turning away 25 Kraken shots.

With the win, the Jets are now 13-9-4 and face the “new look” Vancouver Canucks tonight at Rogers Arena. Puck drop is 9pm (TSN 3, 680 CJOB/Power 97).
