Jets Beat Calgary

WINNIPEG - Connor Hellebuyck made 32 saves as the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Pacific Division leading Calgary Flames 3-1 Friday night at Canada Life Centre. The victory extends their winning streak to three games and improves their record to 38-32-11 on the season.

Blake Wheeler, Mason Appleton and Brenden Dillon scored for the Jets who conclude their season Sunday afternoon against the Seattle Kraken in a game that was originally scheduled for April 13th but was postponed due to weather conditions. Matthew Tkachuk recorded his 42nd goal of the season for the Flames (50-22-11) who were on a seven-game point streak (5-0-2) heading into their last game of the regular season.

Sunday’s game starts at 1 p.m. (TSN3, 680 CJOB/Power 97). It will be the last game for Jets play-by-play announcer Dennis Beyak’s who announced his retirement from TSN earlier in the week. Beyak plans on continuing to do international tournaments for TSN.
