WINNIPEG, MB – Northern Explorer Month has returned to the Assiniboine Park Zoo starting today.

As part of the celebrations, visitors can pay one regular admission fee and visit the Zoo every day for the entire month of February for FREE! Additionally, a variety of family-friendly activities and zookeeper talks are planned where you will learn about polar bears, seals, and what actions they can take to positively impact the environment.

“Many of our animals thrive in colder weather so Northern Explorer Month is a great time to visit the Zoo,” said Stephanie Kababie, Promotions and Sponsorships Specialist at Assiniboine Park Zoo. “It will be an exciting month with extra activities taking place each weekend and we hope that visitors of all ages will be inspired to learn about northern species, their habitats, and what we can each do to help.”

Some of the activities you can enjoy during Northern Explorer Month from Thursday, February 1 to Wednesday, February 28:
