No Injuries in Charleswood Fire

WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Firefighters responded quickly to limit damage to a two-storey fourplex in the City.

Saturday around 2:45 p.m., the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to the two-storey fourplex Westgrove Way. Crews found smoke coming from one of the units and had the fire under control within an hour.

All residents of the complex had self-evacuated prior and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time. Damage was contained to the suite where the fire originated. It was expected that most occupants of the complex will be able to return to their suites quickly.
