WINNIPEG - The cause of an overnight fire at a downtown hotel is under investigation.
The Marlborough Hotel was evacuated early this morning, as the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to an automatic alarm
The hotel's sprinkler system was able to extinguish the blaze on the seventh floor.
Fire crews dealt with hotspots when they arrived.
Only one suite suffered fire, smoke and water damage.
No one was hurt but the Marlborough's 21 guests spent the rest of the night elsewhere.
