WINNIPEG - Two fires early this morning in Winnipeg sent six people to hospital.
The first blaze, at about 4:30, broke out in an apartment building on Kennedy Street near Sargent Avenue. Four people were rescued, with three of them taken to hospital, including one in critical condition.
Just half an hour later, there was another fire on Furby Street where one person was rescued and two others escaped the flames on their own. Once again, three people went to hospital and one of them was critical.
Both fires are under investigation.
