WINNIPEG – Make sure that you get home safely this New Year’s Eve and hop on a bus for FREE all evening long.

The City of Winnipeg together with MPI are offering free transit starting at 7:00pm. on New Year’s Eve. The last bus will leave downtown at about 1:35am. The program applies to all regular service buses as well as Handi-Transit.

“We want to remind everyone to make good decisions this holiday season. Find a safe way home,” said Staff Sargent Sean Pollock, Winnipeg Police Service.

Last year, more than 15,000 revelers used Winnipeg Transit’s Free Ride program as part of their plan to get home safely on New Year’s Eve.
