WINNIPEG - Police say they were able to safely take a suspect into custody after he allegedly pulled a handgun out when they were trying to arrest him.
Officers were responding to a report of a man with a firearm at a Winnipeg business on Friday night.
The suspect tried to run but cops caught up with him and that's when they claim he became combative and produced a gun.
Police say a woman who tried to stop the arrest was also taken into custody.
A gun, ammunition, cocaine and cash were seized during the arrests in the West End.
