Winnipeg Man Found With 11 Weapons in His Vehicle

WINNIPEG – Guns, a crossbow and three machetes are just a few of the weapons discovered during a traffic stop on Pembina Highway.

On December 10th at 8:10 pm, police watched a suspicious man get in a vehicle and then proceeded to commit several traffic violations. Once they stopped him they discovered that he had two arrest warrants outstanding.

When he was searched they found an improvised shotgun, a crossbow, three large machetes, two small replica firearms, three fireworks, a round of ammunition, plastic composite knuckles, four small bags of meth and two bags of illegal marijuana.

38 year-old Eric Lloyd Klaprat has been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle, 9 other weapons related charges and 2 drug charges.

He was processed on his two outstanding warrants and held in custody.
