WINNIPEG - Police have issued a public advisory after the assault of a girl near Grace Hospital on Sunday night.
Investigators say the middle schooler was walking her service dog just before 8 p.m. on Meadowlark Place near Athlone Drive when a man approached, grabbed her arm and pulled at her while kicking the dog.
The girl's scream was heard by her mother who saw the man flee.
The victim suffered minor injuries which did not require medical attention.

Below is the description provided by police as they search for the suspect:
- male with tan/olive skin with undereye discoloration described as purple
- approximately 6’0” in height with an average build
- wearing black pants with white stripes down the sides, black shoes with white/grey soles, and a black jacket with grey and white on the sleeves
- black balaclava with a black mask covering the mouth area (forming a triangle at the bottom below the chin)
