Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Firearm Charges

WINNIPEG – A traffic violation led to the arrest of three people for multiple firearms charges.

On December 17th police stopped a vehicle for failing to signal. When they approached the vehicle, they noticed a “Zip” gun and a sword inside the vehicle. All three occupants were arrested. The driver did not not have a valid driver’s licence and one of the passengers had 5.2 grams of methamphetamine and $265 cash in his possession.

34 year-old Katherine Lee Marie Plesier has been charged with possession of a weapon, multiple firearm charges, driving while disqualified, and failing to comply with a condition of recognizance.

51 year-old Joseph Daniel Degrace has been charged with possession of a weapon, multiple firearms charges and possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking.

28 year-old Jeremy Andrew Wales also has multiple firearm charges.

They were detained in custody.
