WINNIPEG - Thursday night three youths, 14, 15 and 17, were arrested and charged with armed robbery.

September 13th at 8:30 p.m. three male youths entered a liquor outlet in the 900 block of Jefferson Ave. One youth selected two bottles of liquor and ran towards the exit. A second male youth entered the store, produced a silver handgun and pointed it at employees. All three male youths then took off. No one was injured during the incident.

Police said three youths matching the suspects' description were located in the lane of Mapleglen Drive. The male youths were found to be in possession of the stolen bottles of liquor and a fake handgun.

Three males, ages 14, 15 and 17 years old, were arrested. A 14-year-old male has been charged with:

  • Armed Robbery using a Firearm
  • Pointing a Firearm
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence X2
  • Possess Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Carry Concealed Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

A 15-year-old male has been charged with Armed Robbery using a Firearm.

A 17-year-old male has been charged with:

  • Armed Robbery using a Firearm
  • Possess Firearm, Restricted/prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Carry Concealed Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking X2
