Sex Assault On Furby

WINNIPEG – A woman has been sexually assaulted in her apartment on Furby Street.

It happened yesterday morning about 6:30 in the 300 block of Furby.

The woman was alone in her suite when a male suspect broke in through an unlocked fire escape door. She was attacked but managed to fight him off off and call for help. The suspect fled. She was taken to hospital where she was treated and released.

Investigators described the suspect as indigenous, between 25 and 30, 5’7″, stocky build, short black hair, wearing a blue or grey shirt, beige shorts, black shoes, black backpack and blue surgical mask.
