Second Arrest In Abduction

WINNIPEG - Police have arrested a second suspect in an assault and abduction in Winnipeg in Early November.

On Sunday, 28 year old Jason Robert Baker was taken into custody after a stolen vehicle attempted to allude police but crashed into a cruiser near Arlington and Wellington.

An arrest warrant was issued for him after a woman in her 20s was assaulted and abducted at a bus stop on November 1st in the area of St. Mary's and Fermor.

The victim jumped out of a speeding SUV on the Trans-Canada east of Deacon's Corner.

Soon after, 22 year old Joshua Andrew Baker was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping and several other counts.

At that time, a warrant was issued for Jason Baker who is now in custody after Yesterday's incident.
